Ingredients:
- 1 lb ground pork
- 1/2 lb ground ham
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup yellow mustard
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup dill pickle slices
- 4 slices Swiss cheese
- 4 hamburger buns
- 2 cloves roasted garlic
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork and ground ham
Add breadcrumbs, cumin, salt, and pepper
Mix until well combined
Form the meat mixture into 4 burger patties
In a separate bowl, mix together yellow mustard and mayonnaise to create the sauce
Preheat a grill or skillet over medium-high heat
Brush the burger patties with olive oil and cook for about 4-5 minutes per side or until they reach your desired level of doneness
During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of Swiss cheese on each burger patty and let it melt
While the burgers are cooking, spread the roasted garlic on the hamburger buns
Assemble the burgers: Place a burger patty with melted cheese on the bottom half of each bun
Top with dill pickle slices and a generous drizzle of the mustard-mayo sauce
Place the top half of the bun on top
Heat a panini press or a heavy skillet over medium heat
Press each burger sandwich for 2-3 minutes on each side until the bread is toasted, and the cheese is gooey
Serve your Pressed Cuban Sandwich Burgers hot, and enjoy!
