Ingredients:
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 1 large egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Additional flour for dusting
- Melting chocolate or candy melts for coating
Instructions:
Mix the peanut butter, white sugar, and brown sugar together in a large bowl until the mixture is smooth and well mixed
Add the vanilla extract and egg, and mix until everything is well mixed in
Mix the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt together in a different bowl
Mix the dry ingredients into the peanut butter mixture little by little until a dough forms
Cover the dough with plastic wrap and put it in the fridge for at least an hour
Warm the oven up to 350F 175C and put parchment paper on a baking sheet
Spread the dough out on a floured surface until it's about 1/4 inch thick
Cut out the shapes you want from the dough with Nutter Butter shapes
Put the shapes you cut out on the baking sheet that has been prepared
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, or until the edges are just beginning to turn golden
Let the cookies cool for a few minutes on the baking sheet before moving them to a wire rack to cool all the way
After the cookies have cooled all the way, melt the chocolate or candy melts according to the directions on the package
Cover half or more of each cookie with the melted chocolate if you want to
Let the chocolate set by putting the cookies on parchment paper
