Sweet Mustard Pickles



Cucumbers and onions combined in a sweet and tangy mustard sauce make for a delicious combination in these sweet mustard pickles. They go well as a side dish or as an accompaniment to your favorite sandwiches or burgers. This classic recipe will wow your palate with its ageless flavor.

Ingredients:

  • 8 cups cucumbers, thinly sliced
  • 2 cups onions, thinly sliced
  • 1/4 cup pickling salt
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons dry mustard
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1 teaspoon mustard seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Instructions:

Cucumber slices, onions, and pickling salt should all be combined in a big mixing bowl

Stir thoroughly, then leave for two hours

After draining, thoroughly rinse with cold water

White vinegar, sugar, all-purpose flour, dry mustard, turmeric, celery seeds, mustard seeds, and ground cinnamon should all be combined in a big pot

Before using, move the pickles with sweet mustard to sterilized jars, seal them, and keep them in the fridge for at least 24 hours
