Spinach, Mung Bean, and Millet Burgers



Instead of regular burgers, try these Spinach, Mung Bean, and Millet Burgers. They taste great and are good for you. They are great for a meatless meal because they are high in protein and fiber. You can add your favorite toppings and serve them on whole wheat buns for a healthy and satisfying burger experience.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cooked mung beans
  • 1 cup cooked millet
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1/2 cup grated carrot
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onion
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
  • 2 tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1 teaspoon cumin powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 egg or flaxseed egg for a vegan option
  • 4 whole wheat burger buns
  • Toppings of your choice lettuce, tomato, avocado, etc
  • Olive oil for cooking

Instructions:

Put cooked mung beans, millet, chopped spinach, grated carrot, chopped onion, minced garlic, breadcrumbs, nutritional yeast, cumin powder, paprika, salt, and pepper in a large bowl

Mix the ingredients together

Mix the egg or flaxseed egg into the other ingredients and stir until everything is well mixed

Make 4 patties of the same size out of the mixture

Put a little olive oil in a skillet and set it over medium-high heat

For about four to five minutes on each side, or until they are golden brown and done, remove from the heat

Put the whole wheat burger buns in a skillet or toaster and toast them until they get a little brown

Put the cooked patties and any toppings you want on top of your burgers

Enjoy while hot!
